Swaruma Palliative Care is an organisation that strives to live up to the WHO acclaimed Kerala model community based, Neighbourhood Network in Palliative Care. We intend to provide medical and socio-economic support to bed ridden patients and their families in desperate times, especially during the terminal stages of the disease or where no more hospital support is required. Home care is our core activity, where we visit the terminally ill patients suffering from cancer, stroke, spinal injury, acute diabetes, nephritic diseases, as well as children afflicted with cerebral palsy, autism, mental retardation and similar conditions. Our approach is patient centric and focused on relieving their pain and other distress. We aim more on giving life to their days and not days to their life as we believe every human deserves dignity in life and death.
Swaruma has been functioning since 2016. We work in close association with the local governmental palliative facilities in various panchayats in kanjirapally Taluk. The organisation is registered under the Travancore Cochin Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act 1955 in the state of Kerala.
